Amino Acids
The 20 basic amino acids are the body's building blocks. They are classified as either non-essential or
essential.
Although amino acids are food elements, they also function as natural healers. They have been found to be useful in pain and depression, as well as for weight control, memory improvement, and muscle building. Amino acids are very effective and free of dangerous side effects.
For men and women 18 years or older, studies have shown that if sufficient amounts of amino acids are not obtained through diet, the body cannibalizes its less important tissues to restore balance. This may lead to premature aging and other severe deficiencies.
L-Arginine:
A free-form amino acid for the metabolism of protein. L-Arginine also transports the nitrogen used in muscle metabolism, making it popular with body builders and dieters.
L-Glutathione:
A non-essential amino acid that bolsters the immune system, supports proper liver function, and helps maximize muscle growth, L-Glutathione deficiencies may cause a greater risk of infection, colds and flu.
L-Lysine:
An essential amino acid that has powerful healing properties, L-Lysine has been found to be useful in shingles and cold sores. It also promotes bone growth, and helps in the absorption of calcium.
L-Carnitine:
This natural amino acid carries the body's fat across the cell membrane, to be used by
mitochondria, the cell's fat incinerators, where it is burned for energy. Get your fat incinerators going!
